Inclusion Housing supports breakthrough property scheme for North Tyneside

Alan Campbell MP was presented with a commemorative builder’s trowel at the Topping Out ceremony of a landmark development for supported housing in North Tyneside.

The housing scheme in Shiremoor comprises of sixteen purpose-built apartments for adults with physical disabilities and learning difficulties, known as Bluebell Court.

The scheme, developed by specialist supported housing developer HB Villages on Earsdon Road in Shiremoor will ensure that the adults housed there will have a safe living environment. They provide on-site support and fully adaptive technology available to all residents so they are able to live independently in the community.

Bluebell Court was designed in partnership with Inclusion Housing CIC and Lifeways Community Care, in partnership with the city council’s commissioning team and the contractor Wood Group.

Alan Campbell MP said:
“I am thrilled to celebrate the completion of such a vital development. It is important that the most vulnerable people in our society can live independently and freely in a modern and safe environment. I am delighted that North Tyneside now offers these facilities.”
